Does my child know FlashDroid is there?+
Yes. FlashDroid is visible on their phone under its own name and consent is recorded at pairing — it isn’t a hidden or secret tool.
What is Family Safety View?+
Family Safety View is FlashDroid’s set of live safety tools for Android: live camera (front or rear), live screen, nearby sound, one-off camera and screen snapshots, and scheduled safety checks — all from the parent app.
Is Live Screen View a recording?+
No. Live camera, screen, and sound are streamed while you watch and are never saved, so there is nothing to play back later. A screen snapshot is a separate feature that saves a single image for 30 days.
Do I have to ask my child every time?+
No. Agreement happens once, when the phones are paired, and it is recorded. After that, an authorised parent can start a live session or take a snapshot without a new prompt each time.
Can I use the front and rear cameras?+
Yes. Live Camera View lets you choose the front or the rear camera on your child’s Android phone.
Can I take a photo or a screen snapshot?+
Yes. You can request a camera photo or a screen snapshot right away, and you can schedule camera or screen snapshots for set times.
How long are snapshots kept?+
Saved and scheduled snapshots are deleted automatically after 30 days. Live camera, screen, and sound are never stored.
Does FlashDroid record conversations or messages?+
No. Family Safety View does not record live sessions, and it does not read or store the messages your child types or their chats.
Can two parents use Family Safety View?+
Yes. Each parent uses their own secure account in the same family, so you never share one login.
Does this work on iPhone?+
Not yet. FlashDroid’s parent app and child app are both Android only today.
