Live Camera — the questions parents ask
Does my child know FlashDroid is there?+
Yes. FlashDroid is visible on their phone under its own name and consent is recorded at pairing — it isn’t a hidden or secret tool.
Can I switch between the front and rear camera?+
Yes, while the view is open, without starting again. What you see depends on where the phone is and which way the camera faces.
Is the live session recorded?+
No. Live Camera is streamed only. When you close it there is nothing to play back, on your phone or on theirs. A separate photo capture saves a single still image for 30 days.
Is this a video call?+
No. It’s a one-way live view from your child’s phone camera into your parent app — they don’t see your camera, and it isn’t a two-way call.
How long can I watch?+
As long as the view is open. It ends the moment you close it, on both phones.
Does this work on iPhone?+
Not yet. FlashDroid is Android only today, both the parent app and the child app.
