When you would use it
Moments it is for
You changed a daily limit.
Look at the days before and after the change to see what actually shifted.
A talk that needs a number.
“Too much” is a feeling. The day’s total, and the apps behind it, is something you can both look at.
Weekends look different.
Compare school-day and weekend totals before deciding whether they need different rules.
What it does
Inside Daily Usage
The day’s total
Total screen time for the day, and the apps that made it up.
A multi-day trend
Step back through days and weeks to see the shape, not only today.
Up to 180 days
Today’s total is free; the multi-day history and reports are part of a paid plan, and go back 180 days.
See the day’s recorded screen time
The day’s total first, then the apps that made it up.
One number first — How long the phone was in use, before any detail.
Then the breakdown — Which apps, and how much of the day each took.
Any day you like — Step back through the days one at a time.
Compare use over time
A single busy day isn’t a pattern. A run of them is.
Whole weeks — Page back through them and see the shape rather than the spike.
Or pick a range — The school holidays, a fortnight, whatever you are asking about — you choose it.
Something to point at — When it settles, they get to see that too.
A summary at the end of the day
A short note about how the day went, without you opening anything.
Once, quietly — One summary rather than alerts through the afternoon.
The headline — Time used and the apps behind it.
Open it if you want more — The full report is a tap away when the summary raises a question.

One summary at the end of the day — not alerts through the afternoon.
Why it helps
What Daily Usage is really for
- The week, not the momentTotals and a multi-day trend keep the conversation about patterns, not one busy afternoon.
- Progress you can point toWhen things settle down, you both get to see it — encouragement beats nagging.
- Enough history to look back onThe trend goes back far enough that looking back means something.
Plainly
What reports don’t do
They describe time, and nothing else.
- They don’t show contentsWhich app, and for how long. Never what was watched, said or searched.
- They don’t compare weeks for youThere is no automatic “up on last week” figure. You page back through days, or pick a range, and look yourself.
- They aren’t a scoreThere is no grade and no target. The numbers are for a conversation, not a verdict.
- They measure the phoneOn a device two children share, the time belongs to the phone rather than to one of them.

Questions
Daily Usage — the questions parents ask
Does my child know FlashDroid is there?+
Yes. FlashDroid is visible on their phone under its own name and consent is recorded at pairing — it isn’t a hidden or secret tool.
How far back do the reports go?+
Up to 180 days. Today’s total is free; the multi-day history and reports are part of a paid plan, and clear automatically after 180 days.
Does FlashDroid compare this week to last week for me?+
No. There is no automatic week-over-week percentage. You page back through days, or pick a date range, and compare them yourself.
Can I see the report for a single app?+
Yes. The day’s total comes first, then each app with its share of it, and you can open any app for its own day and week.
Does the summary arrive every day?+
Yes, once, at the time you choose in the evening. It says how the day went in a line; the full report is a tap away if you want more.
Does this work on iPhone?+
Not yet. FlashDroid is Android only today, both the parent app and the child app.
What is a normal amount of daily phone use for a child?+
There is no single right number — it varies widely by age and by day, and an average is not a target. Daily Usage shows your own child’s total and the apps behind it, so you can judge their day rather than a statistic, and adjust limits in Screen Time if you want to.
How can I check my child’s phone usage?+
Pair FlashDroid Kid with your FlashDroid app once. From then on the day’s total, the apps behind it and the multi-day trend are in your app, with a one-line summary each evening.
