Where Kids360 is better
- iPhone support. Kids360's site links to the App Store, Google Play, Huawei AppGallery and Galaxy Store. FlashDroid works on Android only.
- Tasks that earn screen time. Kids360's App Store listing says children can solve logic exercises, practise maths, do parent tasks and count physical exercises with the phone camera to earn extra time.
- Some features at no cost. The listing says app usage statistics, GPS location and daily time limits are free.
- Reviews. The App Store listing showed 4.6 out of 5 from 9K ratings on 4 November 2026.
Where FlashDroid is better
- Live check-ins. Start a live screen view, live camera or surrounding sound from your phone when a call or message goes unanswered. The child's phone shows a notice the whole time a live view is open. On Android 12 and later, Android also shows its own camera and microphone indicators. Live views are streamed, not recorded, and use credits from your plan.
- Per-app control. Set a limit for each app, block an app, or lock the phone at once.
- Places alerts. Mark home, school or tuition, and get an alert when your child arrives or leaves.
- A web filter by category. The filter works on the phone, across browsers.
- Tamper warnings. FlashDroid tells you when protection on the child's phone is switched off, or the phone goes offline.
Also in FlashDroid
These FlashDroid tools are on paid plans and the free trial:
- Block Reels and Shorts in Instagram, YouTube, the Facebook phone app and Snapchat. The rest of each app still works.
- Safe Search for Google, Bing and DuckDuckGo, and YouTube Restricted Mode, on the child's phone.
- Activity logs: see what your child watched and searched on YouTube, and who they chat with — never what the messages say. Off until you turn them on.
- Safety check: alerts you to signs of self-harm, bullying and grooming — with a short part of the message, never the full chat. Off until you turn it on; the trial covers one app. See Privacy, section 9B for what it reads and how long it is kept.
- SOS: your child holds one button, and your phone rings loud, also on silent, until you answer. You see where your child is and hear the sound around them, and you can turn on the camera.
