FlashDroid editorial visual: key parent considerations for BGMI.

Short answer

BGMI includes specific protections for under-18 players in India.

KRAFTON's current terms say players under 18 require parental or guardian consent. Its responsible-gaming page also states that under-18 players have a 3-hour-per-day gameplay limit and a ₹7,000 daily paid-service limit.

Those controls are useful, but parents should still review time, voice/chat interactions, spending and whether gaming is crowding out other parts of the child's day.

BGMI is not an unrestricted under-18 account

KRAFTON's current policy says an under-18 user must have parental or guardian consent.

Its privacy policy says a parent/guardian phone number may be requested to verify eligibility.

That is an important distinction from a game that simply relies on a child entering any age.

Built-in time limit for minors

BGMI's current responsible-gaming page states that players below 18 cannot play for more than three hours per day.

That is a platform-level cap.

But three hours is not automatically the right family limit.

A parent may reasonably choose less on:

  • school days
  • exam periods
  • late evenings

Built-in spending limit

KRAFTON currently states a daily paid-service cap of ₹7,000 for under-18 players.

That is still a large amount for many families.

Parents should therefore use Google Play purchase approvals and their own family spending rules.

Violence and competitive play

BGMI is a battle-royale game.

KRAFTON says it has moderated aspects of game graphics for the Indian version, but parents should still decide whether the game suits the child's maturity.

Voice/chat interactions

The social experience can matter as much as the game itself.

Parents should discuss:

  • who the child teams with
  • voice chat
  • personal information
  • abusive language
  • reporting/blocking players
