Why it matters
Most location questions are ordinary ones.
Did they reach school? Have they left tuition? Are they still on the way home? FlashDroid helps answer everyday location questions without turning every trip into a phone call.
Reassurance
Confirmation during the ordinary transitions of the day.
Arrival awareness
Know when they reach school, tuition or home.
Independence
Room for older children to move through the day.
Less checking
Fewer repeated calls and “have you reached?” messages.
Live map
See their location when you need to check.
Open the FlashDroid map to see the child’s current reported position. While the live map is open, the location can update every few seconds.
When the plan changes, open the map instead of starting another round of calls.
- Useful when pickup time changes or a child is delayed.
- Helpful when you need to coordinate a meeting point.
- Check the update time as well as the position on the map.

Safe zones
Save the places your family cares about.
Mark places such as home, school, tuition, a grandparent’s house or another regular destination. FlashDroid can alert you when your child arrives or leaves.
The places that matter should not need to be checked again and again.
- Home, school, tuition or coaching, a relative’s home, sports practice.
- Set the place once, on the map, in the parent app.
- Geofence events can vary a little with the phone and the surroundings.

This place alerts on arrival, not on leaving.
Arrival & leave alerts
Know when they arrive. Know when they leave.
Once a safe zone is set, FlashDroid can notify you when the child enters or leaves that place.
Sometimes the most useful location update is simply: they arrived.
- School arrival, school departure, tuition arrival, return home.
- Get an alert instead of watching the map yourself.
- You are notified when FlashDroid detects the arrival or leave.

Maya has left School
One safe zone, both directions. You set which places matter.
Recent history
Look back when the current location is not enough.
Recent location history can help you understand where the phone has been during the day when you need more context.
A current dot tells you where the phone is. Recent history can help explain how it got there.
- Understand a delayed journey, or whether they already left a place.
- Review the recent route after a missed arrival.
- It is recent history, not a permanent record of everywhere they have ever been.

Named, not coordinates
Places you have saved come back by name.
Honest accuracy
Phone location is useful, but it is not perfect.
Android location can be affected by GPS signal, buildings, network conditions, battery settings and whether the phone is online. FlashDroid shows the latest available information without pretending every reading is exact.
A useful location app should show context, not pretend GPS is perfect.
- Check the update time as well as the map position.
- A live location cannot update normally while the phone is offline.
- Accuracy depends on the phone, the network and the surroundings.

Beyond location
Location answers one question. FlashDroid helps with the rest of the phone too.

FAQ
Questions about location, answered.
Can I see my child’s location on Android?
Yes. FlashDroid can show the child’s reported location on a map in the parent app.
How often does the live location update?
While the live map is open, the position can update every few seconds. Actual updates depend on the phone, network and location conditions.
Can I get an alert when my child reaches school?
Yes. You can save school as a safe zone and receive arrival and leave alerts.
Can I add home and other regular places?
Yes. Safe zones can be created for the places that matter to your family, such as home, school or a relative’s house.
Is the location always exact?
No. Smartphone location can vary because of GPS, buildings, network availability, battery settings and other device conditions.
Does FlashDroid update the phone’s location every second in the background?
No. The live map can update every few seconds while it is open; it is not a constant second-by-second location feed in the background.
What happens if the child’s phone is offline?
A live location cannot update normally while the phone is offline. You may see the most recent available information depending on the current state.
Can I use FlashDroid to see someone’s location in secret?
No. FlashDroid is a family app for parents of their own children, used on a child’s Android phone. It is never hidden or secret.
Does FlashDroid work on iPhone?
No. The current parent and child products are Android only.
Know when they arrive, without asking every time.
