Live Safety View for Android
See what’s on your child’s phone when you need more context.
Start a live screen or camera view from your parent app when something concerns you. Live views are streamed, not recorded. If you need a still image, you can request a single snapshot.
- Live Screen
- Live Camera
- On-Demand Snapshot
- Visible Child App

Why it matters
When a report is not enough, see what is happening now.
Screen-time totals tell you how long an app was used. Location tells you where the phone is. Live view is the extra context layer for the moment you need to understand — not a recording of their day.
Live, on request
You start the session intentionally when you need it.
Not recorded
Live screen and live camera are streamed, never saved as a recording.
One snapshot to keep
Request a single still image when a saved picture is more useful.
Visible, not secret
Installed with the child’s knowledge — not stealth software.
Live screen
See the screen as it is being used.
Start a live screen session to see what is currently displayed on the child’s Android phone.
Usage tells you how long. Live screen can show you what is happening now.
- Understand what is on the device at that moment.
- Help a child navigate a problem on the phone.
- It shows the current screen — it does not read messages or interpret content.
Their screen
Your view
A mirror does not filter: whatever is on the screen is in the view, including a message being read.
Live camera
Use the camera for current visual context.
When you need to check the child’s surroundings, FlashDroid can start a live camera view from the child phone. Choose the front or rear camera.
A live view for the moment you need it — not a stored camera recording.
- Start the camera intentionally, and end the session when you are done.
- Choose the front or rear camera.
- The child’s phone shows it is set up and connected, with Android’s own camera indicator.

It opens when you ask and stops when you close it. Nothing is recorded, and there is nothing to play back afterwards.
Live means live
Live views are streamed, not recorded.
FlashDroid’s live screen and live camera views are for seeing what is happening at that moment. The live stream itself is not saved as a recording.
Live is for the moment. A snapshot is the thing you choose to save.
- Live screen — streamed, not recorded.
- Live camera — streamed, not recorded.
- Snapshot — one still image you request, saved for later viewing.
Live view
- You see it as it happens
- Their phone says so the whole time
- Nothing is kept
One image, when you ask
- Waits for you in the gallery
- Their phone says so too
- Deleted after 30 days
On-demand snapshot
Need a still image instead? Request one snapshot.
You can request a single screen screenshot or camera photo when a saved image is more useful than a live session.
One request. One image. Not a recording of everything before or after it.
- One explicit action, one still image.
- Easier to review later than keeping a live session open.
- A capture needs the phone online with the right permissions active.
Captures whatever is on your child’s screen now. Nothing is shown to your child. If the screen is off, it can’t be taken.
Take screenshotYou can close this. If it arrives, you’ll find it in Snapshots.
Visible, not stealth
Built for parental control — visible, never secret.
FlashDroid is installed on the child’s Android phone with the child’s knowledge. It is a family-safety tool, never hidden or disguised software.
Powerful parental controls do not need to be hidden.
- A visible app, set up as part of the family.
- The live capability is explained during setup.
- Use the simplest FlashDroid tool that answers your question — live view is there when you need more.
On their phone, the whole time
The screen-sharing status is Android’s own, not ours. The notice below it is ours, and it is deliberately calm — it never announces a particular session.
Beyond live view
Current context when you need it. Everyday controls for everything else.
FlashDroid combines live safety tools with screen-time limits, app controls, website protection and location features.

FAQ
Questions about live view, answered.
Can I see my child’s Android screen live?
Yes. FlashDroid can start a live screen stream from the child’s Android phone to the parent app when the feature is available and enabled.
Is the live screen recorded?
No. The live screen view is streamed and is not saved as a recording.
Is the live camera recorded?
No. The live camera view is streamed and is not saved as a recording.
What can be saved?
You can request an on-demand single screenshot or camera photo. That still image can be saved for later viewing.
Can I choose the front or rear camera?
Yes. You can choose the front or rear camera for the view.
Is FlashDroid always watching the screen?
No. The live view starts only when you intentionally request a session. It is never always on.
Does FlashDroid secretly run on the child’s phone?
No. FlashDroid is a visible parental-control application, installed with the child’s knowledge.
Can FlashDroid read or understand private messages?
Not the conversation itself. Live screen shows what is on the screen at that moment; it does not read or interpret messages on its own. Separately, the notification log shows a preview for a messaging app — the sender’s name and the first line — which is the most FlashDroid ever sees of any message.
Does FlashDroid work on iPhone?
No. The current FlashDroid parent and child apps are Android only.
See what is happening now — without recording their whole day.
Start a live view when you need context, request a single snapshot when you need to keep one, and keep everything visible and family-first.
